Our Learning Journey
Going to Preschool
This booklet has been created to help make the beginning of your child’s early learning journey a positive and joyful experience. Inside, you’ll find useful tips and practical advice to support you and your family as you prepare your child for preschool. We hope it provides reassurance and confidence that you’ve made a wonderful choice in giving your child the best possible start to their learning journey.
Curriculum
At Rydalmere East Public School Preschool, we believe that learning begins long before a child enters the classroom. The skills, values and curiosity nurtured at home form the foundation for each child’s growth at preschool. Our program builds on these early experiences, recognising that children learn best through play.
Educators design engaging, play-based experiences inspired by each child’s interests, strengths and cultural background. Through exploration and experimentation, children develop problem-solving, communication and social skills while building confidence, independence and a love of learning.
Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which promotes every child’s sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming. This ensures that learning is inclusive, purposeful and developmentally appropriate, supporting each child to thrive as a capable, confident and curious learner ready for lifelong success.
